DAC Done Differently.
Biochar Made Better.
We design, develop and deploy bioengineered direct air carbon dioxide removal technologies.
At Nellie, we're driven by a singular purpose to mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
We've developed bioengineered carbon capture at speed and at scale. We use proprietary biomass growth, processing and sequestration channels to capture carbon dioxide from direct air sources which we then turn into biochar and biogenic aggregates to offer exceptional additionality permanence.

Our first DAC site.
We've broken ground on our first hybrid DAC / BECCS site located at Mwyndy, South Wales, United Kingdom.
We use proprietary biological and mechanical engineering to produce biomass at speed and at scale which we then process and sequester through biogenic aggregate channels.
Growth
We build photobioreactors and we build them big. Inside them, we have a unique (and patent pending) set of ingredients and tools that create biomass very quickly. As the biomass grows, it removes carbon dioxide from the air.
Processing
Once the biomass has has reached its optimal growth, we remove it from our photobioreactors and process and treat it using a variety of methods to make sure it's suitable for our long term carbon dioxide sequestration channels.
Sequestration
The processed biomass feedstock is then put through one of several systems to generate either a biogenic aggregate or biochar. This end product is then used in the agricultural and construction supply chains and the captured carbon is stored away for over a thousand years.
