Nellie's Carbon Capture Set to Realise Operational Efficiencies with R&D Project Backed by the BBSRC
Nellie Technologies is excited to announce that they have received funding from AberInnovation’s Solutions Catalyst Programme, a fund that is organised by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and with support from Aberystwyth University and AberInnovation.

This voucher competition funded by the BBSRC will enable the successful companies to create, trial and test innovative solutions to societal challenges with the full support of Aberystwyth University academics and a specialist technical team at AberInnovation.”
The Solutions Catalyst Programme offers valuable access to R&D for cleantech projects in mid-Wales. Stephen Milburn, founder and CEO of Nellie comments:

Nellie will be working alongside academics and experts at the BBSRC, Aberystwyth University, and AberInnovation and will be using the elite facilities at AberInnovation to test novel additives to optimise algal growth speed and maximise the efficiency of the organic bioreactor for carbon capture as well as explore new filtration systems for the carbon capture units.
